Czechs Lukas Dlouhy and Pavel Vizner captured their second ATP doubles title of 2006, at the Estoril Open on Sunday.
February’s Costa do Sauipe champions extended their record this season to 16-6 with a 6-3, 6-1 victory over No. 3 seeds and rookie pairing Lucas Arnold of Argentina and Czech Leos Friedl.
Dlouhy and Vizner, who also appeared in the Valencia final, broke their opponents’ serve four times.
“It feels great to win the title,” said Vizner. “This is our second title as a team this year, after Costa Do Sauipe, so it seems that we are playing good tennis together.”
Dlouhy added: “It’s definitely a great thing to be winning another doubles title with Pavel. I think we played great tennis the entire week. We never lost more than three games per set in all our matches.
“Whenever we can, we are going to try to play together.”
