Third seeds Frantisek Cermak and Leos Friedl captured their fourth title of the season with a 6-3, 6-4 victory over Tommy Robredo and Juan Ignacio Chela in the final of the Estoril Open.
The Czech duo also won the clay court titles in Buenos Aires, Costa do Sauipe and Casablanca earlier this year. It was the ninth career ATP doubles title for both Cermak and Friedl.
Chela was attempting to defend his title after winning with
Gaston Gaudio in 2004. Chela and Robredo were playing in their
first tournament as a team.
In the women's doubles final, Ting Li and Tiantian Sun made it a successful day for China as they defeated Michaella Krajicek and Henrieta Nagyova 6-3, 6-1 to claim the title.
