Portuguese national goalkeeper Ricardo Pereira came to watch the tennis at the Estadio Nacional on Thursday and met with Spanish sensation Rafael Nadal.

The Sporting Lisbon star gave the teenager a Portugal soccer jersey, which the Spaniard wore to his post-match press conference, and posed for photographs.

"I hadn't met him before today," said Nadal. "I knew Vítor Baía better because he played with my uncle in Barcelona, but I really appreciate the fact that he came to see me at the players' lounge."
