MDuring the Estoril Open Marat Safin, Goran Ivanisevic
and Irakli Labadze had dinner at the best restaurant in Cascais,
the award-winning "Beira Mar" on Monday evening.
After receiving a special invitation by Estoril Open tournament
director Joao Lagos and Jorge Felner da Costa, director of Estoril
Tourist Board, the players toasted with a glass of champagne
before having some traditional Portuguese seafood and fish.
The restaurant, which contains an outdoor terrace that spills
onto a traffic-free plaza in the center of Cascais, was established
in the 1950s with its present management in place since 1973.
Its most popular menu items include a savory sopa de marisco
(shellfish soup), filet of whitefish with shellfish rice, baked
sea bass in a salt crust, or whitefish crowned with a banana.
